Millisecond mixing at the nanolitre scale enables nanoparticle self-assembly

Precision NanoSystems has developed proprietary microfluidic devices for simple, rapid, reproducible and cost-effective manufacture of next-generation lipid nanoparticles. 

PNI’s microfluidic technology precisely controls nanoparticle formulation at the nanolitre scale, allowing for the production of nanoparticle compositions not previously possible. Shown below are images of limit-size lipid nanoparticle (lsLNP) systems that are 40 nm in diameter.

Novel Nanoparticle Formulations

 

  • Generate lipid nanoparticles 20 nm – 200 nm
  • Encapsulate macromolecules or low molecular weight compounds
  • Rapidly screen formulations at low volumes (< 0.5 ml)
  • Easily scale-up formulations to large volumes (> 1000 ml)
